There are three topics to study during PADI Scuba Diver training in Roatan, each with a corresponding video to watch and a skills development session to complete. You will find a series of questions to test your knowledge at the end of each section of the manual. Several short quizzes will ensure you have learnt what you need to, there are no exams!
At our dive center in Roatan, we take you shallow water just off the beach nearby to practice these essential skills. Your PADI instructor will brief you on what to do and then demonstrate each skill, then you will repeat what they have shown you until you are comfortable performing them all in the water.
The PADI Scuba Diver course includes two training dives. You will be briefed on the plan by your instructor and then go out by boat to experience Roatan's reefs and put into practice the skills you have mastered. When you return you will learn about all the interesting marine life you encountered!
READY TO BECOME A SCUBA DIVER IN ROATAN?
Training starts daily at 8.30am, runs until about 4.30pm on most days and the use of all dive equipment is included in the cost. You will need to be at least 10 years old, medically fit to dive, and able to float on the surface of the water for ten minutes without touching the bottom to participate in this certification course. During a typical day you will watch videos about diving, head to the beach to practice skills, then go out on our boat for a training dive. Afterwards, you take advantage of our discounted $35 dives for students or upgrade to open water certification!
