Scuba Diving at Reef Gliders
At Reef Gliders we do three dives a day departing at 9:00 am, 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. Our maximum ratio is five divers to one guide/instructor (5:1). This way we keep the groups small and the proper attention can be given to our guests.
If you have already checked in at the shop and signed the corresponding paperwork, then we ask you arrive at least a half hour before the dive departs so there is plenty of time for briefing. We always have coffee and hot/cold water to offer, in fact we encourage our guests to refill their reusable water flasks with us for free, here at the shop. The Blue Marlin opens at 8:00 am and offers many tasty breakfast and lunch options before and in between dives, with vegetarian options as well.
Most dive sites are a 5-10 minute boat ride away, and we regularly schedule special 2-tank trips to the South side and North side of Roatan for a supplemental $30. We schedule night dives once a week for a supplemental $15. We will provide you with a torch if you don't have one.
Our Specialty trips to the Seamounts, Guanaja and Utila can be arranged upon request.
If you are Nitrox certified diver, we can provide you Nitrox tanks for a supplemental $7 per tank. We also offer the
Nitrox specialty course in case you are interested to get certified while you are fun diving.
We strongly suggest the use of reef-safe sunscreen (zinc based) if you chose to use any, which you can purchase at Reef Gliders if you wish so. We also have rash guards and caps to keep the sun at bay without harming our wonderful reef system.
