Captain Gerson grew up on the neighboring island of Guanaja, but Roatán has been home for many years. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he brings a warm island spirit and a wealth of local knowledge to every trip. He knows these waters like the back of his hand—every channel, every reef, every shift in the wind.

Always ready to help, Gerson is the first to lend a hand on and off the boat, making guests feel safe, supported, and welcome from the moment they step aboard. When you’re diving, he keeps a careful eye on your bubbles, ensuring you’re looked after from the surface while you explore the reef below.

With his Advanced Diver certification and Emergency First Response training, Gerson combines skill, safety, and sincerity in everything he does. His calm presence, funny sense of humor, dependable nature, and deep connection to the sea make him an invaluable part of the Reef Gliders crew.                                                                                  

Meet Captain Kike – the steady hand guiding every Reef Gliders adventure

Kike is one of our trusted boat captains here at Reef Gliders, born and raised in Honduras and deeply connected to the ocean that surrounds our island home. Quiet by nature but incredibly attentive, Kike brings a calm, steady presence to every trip.

He’s known for his excellent boat handling, safety awareness, and the way he always seems to anticipate what divers need before they even ask. Whether he’s helping guests with gear, offering a hand back onto the boat, or keeping a watchful eye on the water, Kike’s care and professionalism are felt on every dive.

Though he may be shy at first glance, guests quickly learn that behind that quiet smile is one of the most reliable, hard-working, and thoughtful members of our team. His kindness, humility, and exceptional skill make him an essential part of the Reef Gliders experience.           

Christian was born in Oklahoma but raised in Alabama.

Christian is a passionate and highly experienced dive instructor with a passion for the ocean and a dedication to sharing its wonders with others. With tons of diving experience under his belt, Christian’s expertise spans from beginner lessons to advanced deep-sea exploration in tech diving. Known for his calm demeanor and engaging teaching style, he ensures every student feels safe, confident, and excited to explore. If you are into specialties Christian is your guy.

Meet Jasser, our dedicated in-house lionfish containment instructor, hailing from the beautiful shores of Honduras.

Known as the "Master Lionfish Slayer," Jasser's deep connection to the ocean fuels his passion for marine conservation. With an infectious smile that brightens any room, he brings an unmatched positivity and warmth to our team.

Jasser's teaching style is characterized by his infinite patience and commitment to helping others. His expertise in lionfish containment not only showcases his skills as an instructor but also underscores his love for the sea. Whether he's guiding newcomers through the intricate techniques of lionfish removal or sharing fascinating insights about marine life, Jasser's enthusiasm inspires everyone around him. With Jasser on board, the journey to underwater conservation becomes both educational and enjoyable!

Suzy is Reef Gliders’ resident stray animal whisperer, with an incredible kind heart, and unmistakable British humor. Born and raised in London, she first discovered scuba diving as a teenager while on holiday in Greece. One breath underwater was all it took—she was hooked, and she’s been exploring the world’s oceans ever since.

Her travels and dives across the globe shaped her into the passionate Instructor she is today. Suzy has a gift for helping new divers overcome their first-time nerves, guiding them with patience, empathy, and plenty of laughs. Watching someone conquer their fears and fall in love with the underwater world is her favorite part of teaching.

Whether she’s busting out her legendary dance moves, delivering sharp one-liners with that classic British wit, or dominating karaoke night, she brings energy and joy to our tribe every single day.

And of course, she speaks ROYAL English fluently—complete with sarcasm, charm, and the occasional dramatic flourish.

Strong, hilarious, and endlessly passionate, Suzy is one of the core pillars of Reef Gliders… and unquestionably the queen of good vibes.                                        

Meet James – the youngest spark of the Reef Gliders crew.

James may be the youngest member of our team, but he brings some of the biggest energy on the boat. Born and raised in Honduras and a native Spanish speaker, he adds a lively, mischievous charm to every dive day—usually with a joke ready, a grin on his face, and a playful comment that keeps everyone smiling.

Don’t let his jokes fool you, though—James is incredibly hardworking, attentive, and always ready to help guests with gear, tanks, or anything they need on board. His friendly nature makes him a guest favorite, and his enthusiasm makes even the busiest days feel light and fun.

A mix of humor, heart, and youthful spirit, James adds personality and warmth to the Reef Gliders experience. The boat just wouldn’t feel the same without him.

Meet B – the creative force behind Reef Gliders’ social media. She hails from Oxford, England.

B is the unstoppable creativity behind all the amazing social media content you see from Reef Gliders. With an eye for detail and a natural talent for storytelling, she transforms everyday moments at the shop into engaging posts that capture the spirit of our divers, our team, and life here at Reef Gliders.

Her work doesn’t just showcase what we do—it elevates it. Thanks to her dedication, consistency, and endless creativity, our online presence has never looked better.B is also an open water scuba instructor, a coral reef restoration instructor and an adaptive diver instructor. Clearly her talents are endless.

Meet Louden – our soft-spoken teddy bear with a splash of sass.

Louden is as Roatán as the reef itself. Born in Honduras and raised on this island, he’s been part of the Reef Gliders family long before he ever donned a dive tank. He first joined us as a bartender—quickly winning everyone over with his gentle nature and effortless charm—before realizing he was destined for the diving world too.

The moment he decided to pursue the professional path, we knew he belonged on the dive side of the tribe. His passion for diving is contagious, and watching him evolve from serving drinks to teaching divers has been one of our proudest chapters. Now a soft-spoken yet delightfully sassy Instructor, Louden brings his own unique magic to every course and every dive day.

Fluent in English and Spanish, he has a quiet way of making guests feel comfortable, supported, and seen. And just when you least expect it, he’ll drop a hilariously sassy comment that sends the whole boat laughing.

Louden brings warmth, fun, and belly laughs to both of our establishments. He may be our teddy bear, but underwater he’s all heart, skill, and passion.
